He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Ecklund and Cecelia Ecklund; his wife Lois Olsen; his brother Cliff Ecklund; his brother-in-law Don Olsen; and his granddaughter Kaitlin Mestnik.
He is survived by: his children, Craig (Darla) and Linda Connolly (Tim); his grandchildren, Ryan Mestnik (Shelby) and Ashley Fedje (Noah); his great grandchildren, Tatum and Brooks Mestnik; his sister Janet Johnson (Alt); and his brother-in-law Jim Olsen (Linda). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and godchildren.
