He is survived by: his wife Nel; his children, David (Patti) of Rhinelander, WI, Dianne Ostby (Paul) of Fargo, ND and Vicki Welk (Keith) of West Fargo, ND; his stepchildren, Amy Westby (Joe) of Roseville, MN, Anne Johnson of Bismarck, ND and Matt Mutzenberger (Sara) of Grand Forks, ND; and his grandchildren, Emily Elbom (Gilad) of Philomath, OR, Alissa Adams (Nick) of Fargo, ND, Nate Ostby (Jill) of West Fargo, ND, Katelyn Morken (Jon) of Bloomington, MN, Kelsey Dardis (Dan) of West Fargo, ND, Justin Welk (Molly) of Shoreview, MN, Elizabeth Mangan (William) of St Paul, MN, Rachel, Jack Westby of Roseville, MN, Jake, Luke and Wyatt Mutzenberger of Grand Forks, ND. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many, many wonderful friends.
