James W. Burket Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James W. Burket (Roseville, Minnesota), born in Saint Paul, Minnesota, who passed away on March 3, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Burket and Anna Petersen; his brother Donald Burket; his stepsiblings, Paul Petersen and Catherine Hoppe; and his close friend Darlene Barron.
He is survived by: his children, Jeannette Sonnentag (Matt), Joan Mertes, Jim Burket Jr. (Lynn), Jennifer Forliti-Weymann (Chuck) and Jill Burket (Erick Lindbeck); his former wife Zetta "Jackie" Burket; and his stepsiblings, George Petersen and Barbara Gregor. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren; as well as many cherished relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 11th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, March 12th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, March 12th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the St. John's Catholic Church of Little (380 Little Canada Rd E, Little Canada, MN 55117). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, March 12th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Roselawn Cemetery (803 Larpenteur Ave W, Roseville, MN 55113).
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family preferred.
