He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Nelson and Anne Nelson; and his sisters, Maxine Nelson and Carol Finney. He is survived by: his wife Ardyce Nelson (Johnson); his children, Douglas (Pat) and Laurie Determan (Bob); and his sister Marcia LaCore. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, and twenty great-grandchildren.
