He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles H. Sr. and Opal (Hartshorn). He is survived by: his wife Herticena; his children, Charles H. III, Natalie, Melanie and Karl (Sue); his grandchildren, Jessie Wynveen (Cole) and Tommy; and his great grandchild Lucy Clay.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Lincoln University of Missouri.
