He was predeceased by: his mother Roberta; his father-in-law Hixon Borstad; and his brother-in-law Mark McCord. He is survived by: his wife Joanna; his son Soren; his father Eric Anderson; his mother-in-law Eileen Borstad; his sister Kirsten Rice (Bryon); and his siblings-in-law, Barb Lancaster (Terry), Rebecca McCord, Kris Howard (Curtis), Mike Borstad (Sherry) and Tim Borstad (Becky). He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the National Kidney Foundation.
