With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Barbara Ann Gurney of Roseville, Minnesota, born in Lockport, New York, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Barbara Ann left this world on March 24, 2025 at the age of 93, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
Though Barbara Ann may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Barbara Ann touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her husbands, Dr. Edward Brockmann and Richard S. Gurney; and her brother David Scheunemann of Sanborn. She is survived by: her children, Patricia Gemperle (Michael), David Gurney (Nancy), Steve Gurney (Barbara), John Gurney (Margie), Kathleen Pinnt (Joel) and Gretchen Weerts (Joel). She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the King of Kings Lutheran Church (2330 Dale St N, Roseville, MN 55113). A funeral service was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the American Heart Association (https://www.heart.org), American Brain Foundation, or Concordia Academy.
