He is survived by: his wife Ortencia Garza Barragan; his children, Julie Hammen (John), Kathy Beard (Nichole), Jose, Art and Vicky Barragan; his stepchildren, Linda Garza Rivera (Luis Rivera) and Joseph Garza; his grandchildren, Geoffrey, Thomas, Sawyer, Kynzi, Cayd Barragan, Ryan Larson Garza and Gina Rivera; his great grandchild Ayden; and his siblings, C. R. Barragan (Noel) and Caroline Barragan.
They loved to dance and travel even after Jose got Parkinson's Disease 10 years ago.
