He was predeceased by: his parents, James Buffo and Harriet Buffo (Belange); and his sisters, Judith Tezak and Mary Kernosky. He is survived by: his wife Sharon; his children, Shannon Masters (Mark) and Jim Buffo (Allison); his grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Nick, Ryan, Tyler and Calvin; and his extended family Mark Shirley (Kristina). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel (3075 Vermillion St, Hastings, MN 55033). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the same location. A reception was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family of James L. Buffo in appreciation of the compassionate care provided by the staff at Minnesota Oncology.
