He was predeceased by: his parents, Calvin Love and Alma Jean Love (Turner). He is survived by: his wife Doretta Gibson; his sons, Calvin Love, III of Saint Paul, MN and Christopher Love of Rosemount, MN; his grandchildren, Jayden Schulz, Dominic Love and Charlotte Love; his daughters, Charlotte and Melinda Love; his sister Kathy Love-Moore; his siblings-in-law, Gregory Moore, Frederick Peterson, Wilma Peterson and Beverly Barton; and his nephews, Donald and Joseph. He is also survived by several great nieces, nephews, and many cousins.

“In loving memory of Calvin Love, Someone so special will not be forgotten. I was a manager at Digi International back in the late 90's early 20's but I can still picture Calvin. He was a hard worker with a great attitude and a sense of humor I really appreciated. The type of friend and coworker everyone wishes they had in their life. Every time I hear Calvin's name a smile appears on my face as it brings back all good times spend with him, even decades later.”
