He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayne Andrew Petersen and Mildred Anne Petersen (Losinski); his sister Carol Rowley (Petersen); and his granddaughter Alyshia Petersen. He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his sons, Robert (Laurie) and James (Lisa); his stepchildren, Cynthia (Tim), Ginya (Ted) and Jonathan (Tessa); his grandchildren, Abigail, Emma, Aiden, Landen, Levi, James, Justin, Liam, Maia, Kieran, Braeden and Kai; and his great grandchild Grace.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the Optimist Club of Eden Prairie, St. Michaels Catholic Church or Faith United Methodist Church both are in Farmington.
