He was predeceased by: his parents, Rudy Johnson and Lillian Johnson (Olson); his brothers, Nels and Paul; his parents-in-law, Don and Joyce Thyren; and his brother-in-law David Lovestrand.
He is survived by: his wife Joy; his children, Jennifer Lund (Dale) of Moorhead, MN, Melissa Bushy (Jon), Thief and Ryan Johnson (Rachal) of Pequot Lakes, MN; his grandchildren, Bailey, Kendall Lund, Brendan, Evan and Owen Bushy; his stepgrandchildren, Ellie and Drew; and his sisters, Karen Craven (Richard) of Crystal River, FL, Joyce Lovestrand, Ruth Ann Helgeson (Roger), Nancy Kallenberg (Bruce), Lois Durenberger (Charlie) and Ann Marie Haaby (Terry). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
