He was predeceased by: his parents, Omer Espe and Myrtle Espe (Dahl); his wife Judith Ann (Severson); and his parents-in-law, Clifford Severson and Fern (Palm).
He is survived by: his children, Tami Espe of Anchorage, AK, Teresa Ortmann (Ward) of Walnut Creek, CA, Tara Olson (Ryan) of Ashland, WI, Trina Ngomuo (Yesse) of Little Falls, MN and Peter Espe (Daryl Ann) of Roseau, MN; his grandchildren, Hanna, Mallory, Kirsten, Breck, Ryan, Kia, Mariah, Logan, Jonah, Hailey, Gabe, Isaiah, Lucas and Sophia; his great grandchildren, Forest, Fern, Finley, Frankie, Fiona River, Damien of Sophie, A. J. and Nolan; and his siblings, Glenn Espe (Marjorie), Marvin Espe (Myrna), Duane Espe (Linda), Evadelle Tangquist, Edgar Espe (Charlotte) and Sheldon Espe (Valerie).
