He was predeceased by: his parents, Nels Braaten and Nellie Braaten (Edwardson); and his siblings, Marvin Braaten and Lila Anderson. He is survived by: his wife Liz Braaten of Roseau; his children, Gregory of Roseau, Vicky Hoines (Kyle) of Langford, SD, Lisa Wicklund (Daryl) of Badger, MN and Jason (Ruth) of Roseau; his grandchildren, Stephanie Sutton (Anthony), Brady Hoines (Brooke), Tory Hoines, Alicia Bauman (Eric), Anna Peterson (Trevor), Abby Trinka (Mike), Ivy, Nels, Julia and Hank Braaten; and his sister Romelda Hanson of Moorhead, MN.. He is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren.
