He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Helstad and Isabel Helstad (Dokken); his wife Beatrice; his son Jeffrey; and his sisters, Audrey Jensen and Eleanor Lindberg.
He is survived by: his son James (Sue Van); his daughter-in-law Rose Helstad; his brother Rod Eastby (Marge); and his close friends, Clay and Michelle Jerome. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
