We are sad to announce that on December 23, 2020, at the age of 76, Jane Smith of Roseau, Minnesota, born in Thief River Falls, Minnesota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Smith and Anna Smith (Lapic); her sister Kathleen Anderson; and her niece Dorinda Leland. She is survived by: her brother Wayne Smith (Margy) of Holt, MN; her brother-in-law Roger Anderson of Detroit Lakes, MN; her nieces and nephews, Denise Sellin (Scott) of Audubon, MN, Darryl Leland of Detroit Lakes, Denielle Jetenberg (Justin) of Wadena, MN and Derek Smith (Wendy) of McCanna, ND; and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Brandon Sellin, Hannah Sellin, Steven Sellin, Katherine Smith, Benedict Smith, Madeleine Smith and Ahto Jetenberg.

“I was so sad to hear of Jane’s passing. We attended Holt and Newfolden schools together, and her brother Wayne was my classmate. I have fond memories of all the kids, including Jane, skating on the Holt school rink at recess. Jane was always smiling, and was everyone’s friend. Her death is a sad punctuation mark to a sad year. My sincere sympathies to her family. Warren Sagstuen”
