He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Flaten and Elda Flaten (Peterson); his daughter Suzanne; his wife Kathleen Yutrzenka; his siblings, Dorothy Hamrick (Warren) and Joel Flaten; and his parents-in-law, Medard and Dorothy Yutrzenka.
He is survived by: his daughter Christina (Jason Linnell) of Warren; his siblings, David (Gloria), Dianne, Duane, Mark (Judy), Doris Wang (Lloyd), Beverly Neve (Ron) and Karen Flaten; his brothers-in-law, Don (Gail) and Mark Yutrzenka (Laurie); and his cousin Chris Pokladnik. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
