It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gary Gilthvedt of Roseau, Minnesota, born in Halstad, Minnesota, who passed away on July 12, 2020, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, C. Earl Gilthvedt and E. Vivian Gilthvedt (Hanson); and his sister Karen Carlson (Gilthvedt). He is survived by: his wife Rev. Mary Gilthvedt (Ronning); his children, Brita Gilthvedt (Kristi Parman) of Seattle, WA, Kjersti Gilthvedt and Peter Gilthvedt of Roseau, MN; his brother Rev. Ron Gilthvedt (Elizabeth); his nephews, Eric of Owatonna, MN and Thad Carlson (Barusca); and his former wife Martha Eng (Knutson) of Bozeman, MT.
Memorials are preferred to Zion Lutheran, Warroad, MN, Concordia College, Moorhead, MN, Luther Seminary, St. Paul, MN, and organizations in lieu of flowers.
