It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Matthew Meany of Rose Creek, Minnesota, born in Austin, Minnesota, who passed away on February 1, 2024, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Novella; his parents, Gerald Meany and Catherine Meany; his siblings, Willard, Mary Keys and Corinne Daly; his sons, Paul and Mark; and his grandsons, Brian and Alex Jungels.
He is survived by: his children, Brian Meany (Peg), Lynne Warne (Jeff), Ann Bastian (Tom) and Beth Jungels (Kris); and his daughter-in-law Lyn Meany. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. Peter's Catholic Church, Rose Creek, MN or to the Salvation Army.
