It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Daniel Nielsen in Rogers, Minnesota, born in Ada, Minnesota, who passed away on April 4, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Nielsen and Bernice Nielsen; his son-in-law Thomas Falk; and his parents-in-law, Tenny Vigen and Orel Vigen.
He is survived by: his wife JoAnn; his son Mark Nielsen (Meri); his grandchildren, Haley Elling (Joe) and Jake Nielsen; his daughter Cindy Falk (Mike Allen); his grandchildren, Brady Falk (Sierra) and Stephi Dorosh (Nic); his sister Maren Dahl (Howard); his brother-in-law Jack Vigen; his nephew Grand; and his pets, Lucy, Frankie, Daisy, Nelly, Gnash, Rosie, Pico, Moose, Reggie and Aspen.
The family requests that any donations be made to the American Cancer Society or Word of Peace Lutheran Church.
