He was predeceased by: his son Anthony; and his father Gerald Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Julie; his sons, Nicholas and Daniel; his mother Beatrice; and his siblings, Joel (Kimberly), Mai and Thai Ri. He is also survived by many other family members and close friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to family, or Word of Peace Lutheran Church.
