He was predeceased by: his parents, Norvald Sr. Osland and Mildred Osland (Elg); his wife Margot; and his siblings, Donna Gaines and Owen Osland.

He is survived by: his son David Osland (Jennifer) of Minneapolis, MN; and his siblings, Jackie Balstad of Stillwater, MN and Dennis Osland of Knoxville, TN. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.
