Grant W. Packer Obituary

Packer, Grant William

Age 37 passed away suddenly on November 19, 2021 at home in Rockford, MN.

He was born July 9, 1984 in Minneapolis, MN to Gary & Denise (Beck-Reents) Packer.

Grant was the most loving and protective person you could ever meet. He would do anything for anyone who needed him.

He was best of friends with Dan Schaper and his family, who he considered family. We, as parents, were so grateful for that friendship he had with the Schaper family.

Grant worked at Home Depot after his high school graduation in 2002. He developed many friendships at the Plymouth store and was always greeted by all. Grant changed locations and had worked for Home Depot in their specialty window and doors warehouse for the past few years.

Grant is survived by his parents; brother, Nathan; several aunts, uncles, and cousins,

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, an uncle and aunt.

Memorial services for Grant with be held Saturday, January 22, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. with visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. all at The Peterson Chapel of Buffalo.

Private family interment at Toronto Cemetery in Toronto, SD..

Mrs ss wrote a sympathy message

“I'm so very sorry for your loss. There are no words that I can say to lessen the grief at this time. This will be the hardest thing as a parent that you will have to do in your lifetime. I made Grant pies for his birthdays, I would always ask what kind this year and his response would be he didn't care they were all good. I worked with Grant at Plymouth and he would always be there to help me in anyway that he could. Always with a smile on his face. My heart goes out to you at this time. Janet L.”

Daniel Mora wrote a sympathy message

“I’m so sorry for your loss. I know this pain is difficult to deal with. One of the clearest teachings of God’s Word is that dead loved ones will return to life. (John 5: 28,29) During this difficult time, a strong hope in God’s promises will help you to endure. And through endurance, you will experience that grand future in which Jehovah will “give you the requests of your heart.” He will satisfy “the desire of every living thing.” (Psalm 37:4) Things will get better soon.”
