He was predeceased by: his father Larry E. Powers; his grandparents, Everette, Ida Hagen (Pederson) of Sparta, WI, Ronald and Jacqueline Powers (Wells) of Albert Lea, MN; and his uncles, Dennis Powers of Keister, MN, Alan Powers of Blooming Prairie, MN and Floyd Miller of Battle Creek, IA..

He is survived by: his mother Kathryn I. Powers (Hagen); his daughters, Anna and Abby Powers; his brother Jeff; his sister-in-law Sandi Powers (Nistler); and his former wife Nicole Scheiber. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, and a multitude of friends.
