It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of William Fitzgerald of Rochester, Minnesota, who passed away on April 14, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, J. Raymond Fitzgerald and Alice Fitzgerald; and his brothers, Thomas, James and Terrence.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia D. Schwartz; his children, Thomas (Jennifer) of Rochester and Michael (Melissa) of Stillwater, MN; his grandchildren, Mia, Erin, Jack, Bobby, Ellie and Kate; and his siblings, Carol of Greenville, SC and Michael of West St. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 16th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, May 17th 2025 at 9:30 AM. A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, May 17th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Co-Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist in Rochester (11 4th Ave SW, Rochester, MN 55902).
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to DeLaSalle High School, Lourdes Foundation, or St. Jude Foundation.
