He was predeceased by: his parents, Tom Cummings and Dorothy Cummings; his in-laws, Norm and Hilda Turner; and his brothers-in-law, Greg and Brad Turner.
He is survived by: his wife Jane Turner; his daughters, Melissa Sorenson (Joe) and Katie Cummings; his grandchildren, Elsa, Henry Sorenson and Ajah Cummings; his siblings, Marsha (Jennifer Hess), Judy Quinn (Mike), Mary Miller (Jerry), Bob Cummings (Lisa), Kathy Warren (Chuck) and Tricia Wiechmann (Tom); and his sisters-in-law, Terry Rutherford and Becky Ciani. He is also survived by 18 nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made out to American Cancer Society or St John's University.
