With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Richard Morken of Rochester, Minnesota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 29, 2024 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Richard is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Richard's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Morken and Ruth Morken (Olson); his sister Donna Thompson (Roger); his niece Wendy Thompson; and his nephews, Mike Thompson and Randy Thompson.
He is survived by: his sister Cynthia Swarthout (Jeffrey Swarthout); his son Chad Morken; his grandchildren, Quintin, Andrew and Elisabeth Morken; his niece Sheila Christen (Steve); and his nephews, Tim Swarthout (Nancy) and Scott Swarthout. He is also survived by 2 great nephews; and 4 great nieces.
