He is survived by: his wife Miriam Smars; his children, Finn, Vivian, Erik, Brooke Smars (Kale Langley) and Bjorn Smars (Shanoah Maine); his grandchildren, Ronja, Ravelle Langley and Morwynna -Smars of Maine; and his siblings, Gunnar, Stefan, Sven (Pia), Annika and Krister (Kersti). He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and dear friends.
