He was predeceased by: his parents, Ole Nelson and Sena Nelson (Larson); his siblings, Rolf, Jaymour and Sidna Stockton (Charles); and his nephew Daniel Stockton.
He is survived by: his wife Gloria Thompson; his son Todd Nelson (Jennifer Kloc) of Mazeppa, MN; his grandchildren, Kailey Nelson and Carter Nelson; his great-nephews, Darren and David Stockton (Alyssa); and also Daniel Stockton. He is also survived by many nieces & nephews.
