He is survived by: his wife Janette Rachael Blau; his children, Susan Lenczewski (John), Karen Hedtke, Linda Olson (Brad), Michael Decker (Carly), Janel Wittmayer (Jon) and Greg Hedtke; his grandchildren, Mark (Erica), Joseph, Bridget Lenczewski, Megan Bogdalek (Brandon), Lukas Hedtke (Alyssa), Marie (Ryan Johnson), Amy Olson, Jacob, Mason Decker and Zachary Wittmayer; his stepgrandson Christopher Wittmayer; his great grandchild Addie Hedtke; and his stepgrandchildren, Rosie and Franklin Wittmayer.
The family asks that donations be made to Breakthrough T1D (formerly known as the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF)) in Norm's name in lieu of flowers.
