With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Maxine Lorraine Smith of Rochester, Minnesota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 26, 2024 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Lyle Felper and Genevieve Vogt Felper Coulthard; her brother Gordon Felper; and her brother-in-law Edward Hajek (James Smith). She is survived by: her husband James Smith; her sister Marjorie Hajek of Lake St; her children, Julie Bashore (Tracy) of Rochester, MN, Kathy Smith and Justin Smith (Kathy) of North Plainfield, NJ; her grandchildren, Ellen LeBeau (Peter) of Marshall, MN, Curtis Bashore (Jasmine) of Manor, TX, Craig Bashore (Megan) of Fargo, ND, Jane Leggett and Max Leggett of Des Moines, IA; her great grandchildren, Sebastian, Luke and Camilo; and her brother-in-law Jack Smith (Mary Jo) of Keokuk, IA. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
