Mary Ann Marie Schlichter Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Ann Marie Schlichter in Rochester, Minnesota, who passed away on October 23, 2024 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Gustaf Kruger and Mary Marie Kruger (Record); her husband Vincent Schlichter; her grandson John Paul Thiele; her daughter-in-law Karen Schlichter; and her siblings, Clarence, Bobby, Chester, Kenny, Edna (June) and Vernice.
She is survived by: her children, Barbara Gingrass (Tim) of Oxnard, CA, Harold Schlichter of Rochester, MN, Norbert Schlichter (Shauna) of Adams, MN, Sherri Wick (Larry) of Eden Prairie, MN and John Schlichter (Debbie) of Owatonna, MN; and her sister Jeanette Dennison of Austin, MN.. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; her rural friends in Rose Creek; and her city friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Peter's Church (300 Maple St SW, Rose Creek, MN 55970). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
She was president of her unit at the church and helped with many a funeral meal, making quilts for the poor, knitting and crocheting blankets and donating them to various charities.
