With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jeanette Monahan of Rochester, Minnesota, who passed away on January 6, 2025 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let her loved ones carry forward the torch of her memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of her love and the brilliance of her spirit. Though Jeanette may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, her essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Francis Hanzel and Charlotte Hanzel (Bolton). She is survived by: her husband Jerome M. Monahan; and her children, Michael (Marie Rosengren) of Longmont, CO, Thomas (Amy Hawks) of Stillwater, MN, Timothy (Lesleigh) of Lakewood, CO, Daniel (Ann) of Woodland, MN and Patricia McMullen (Thomas) of Buffalo, MN. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Pius X Catholic Church (1315 12th Ave NW, Rochester, MN 55901). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials are preferred to St. Pius X Catholic Church in Rochester, MN.
