He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Garber and Gertrude Garber (Hilgers); his brother Robert; and his nephew Tom Garber. He is survived by: his wife Rachel Ortiz; his children, Ann Johnson (Steve) of Coon Rapids, MN, Clare Larsen (John) of Rochester, MN, James D. Garber of Fort Worth, TX, Suzanne M. Garber of Cincinnati, OH and David Garber (Paknoosh) of Chula Vista, CA.; his grandchildren, Joseph Weis, Ray, Angela, Hannah Larsen and Ava Garber; his stepsister Catherine Klugherz; and his son Pete Knight. He is also survived by nine nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the River Park Reception Hall at Macken Funeral Home (1105 12th St SE, Rochester, MN 55904).
