He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Welhaven and Margaret "Peg" Welhaven; his in-laws, Harry and Phyllis Theiss; his niece Margaret "Mimi" Roberts; his great-nephew Jake Roberts; his great-niece Makenzie Roberts; and his nephew Ryan Lange.
He is survived by: his wife Rita; his children, Cole Welhaven (Danielle) and Emily Welhaven; his grandchildren, Michelle and George Welhaven; his siblings, Mary Sullivan (Patrick), John Welhaven (Mary) and Tom Welhaven (Vicki); and his sisters-in-law, Charlotte Hansen (Craig) and Judy Lange (Dan).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Lourdes High School Music Endowment Fund.
