Hanson of Rochester, Minnesota, born in Lanesboro, Minnesota, who passed away on September 13, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Arthur Hanson Sr. and Crystella Amy Johnson; his brother Jerome Hanson; his brother-in-law Pat Lentz; his nephew Bradley Lentz; and his granddaughter Iris Durgin-Hanson.
He is survived by: his wife Mary; his children, Patty Fieck (Daryl), Thomas Hanson (Sharon) and John Hanson (Patty Jo); his grandchildren, Michelle Diaz (Juan), Samantha Berning, Isaac Hanson (Catherine Hébert), Alex Hanson (Ryna Frankel), Adam Hanson (Sonoma Frank), Franklin Durgin-Hanson (Marie) and Jesse Hanson (Kasara Little); and his great grandchildren, Ava Berning, Stephan, Sam, Axyl, Alyias Durgin-Hanson and Osher Hanson.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Legion Post 92 or the Lanesboro Historical Museum.
