He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Macken and Mabel Macken (Mogen); and his brother Fabian Macken. He is survived by: his close friend Jane; his children, Jerry Macken (Kris) of Rosemount, MN and Jen (Mika Matzen) of Denver, CO; and his grandchildren, Finn Macken, Delaney Macken, Evy Macken, Rowan Macken, Shepherd Matzen and Magnolia Matzen.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home (1105 12th St SE, Rochester, MN 55904). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Mayo Poverello Fund, Mayo Hospice, or the ACLU.
