She was predeceased by: her parents, LaForest Hier and Ada Hier; and her brothers, Percy and Darrel Hier. She is survived by: her husband Gene Ostrom of Rochester, MN; her daughters, Karna Loyland (Mike) of Grand Forks, ND and Sarah Nelson (Geoff) of Seattle, WA; her grandchildren, Soren, Peter, Riley and Maximo; her brother Dennis Hier (Jan) of Wilmar, MN; and her sisters-in-law, Betty Hier and Marj Hier. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Dorothy has requested that memorials be directed to Mt. Olive in support of their Kijota Hull High School program.
