He was predeceased by: his brother-in-law Wittenberg. He is survived by: his wife Kris; his children, Lisa Porthan (Brett) of Ely, MN, David (Mandy) of Mankato, MN and Amy Porthan (Erik) of Minneapolis, MN; and his grandchildren, Adam, Lauren, Jack, Parker and Lucia.
