It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alan Chopp of Rochester, Minnesota, born in Saint Paul, Minnesota, who passed away on April 28, 2024, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Eileen Chopp Norton (Jackson) and Dr. William Chopp; his stepfather Dr. John Norton (Grand); and his pet Dexter. He is survived by: his daughter Shama Lynette (Jesse Wheeler); his wife Joy Chopp (Farace); his pet Spike; his stepmother Barbara Chopp; his siblings, Kathy Wobbeking (Ron) and Bill Chopp; and his sisters-in-law, Dawn Mann (Mel) and Jeanette Farace. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, countless friends and honorary 'children'.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Heart Association.
