He is survived by: his wife Joan Moorhead; his sons, Chris Holtz (Jake) of Maple Grove and Andy Holtz (Gina) of Robbinsdale; his grandchildren, Hannah and Alex Holtz; his siblings, Michele Herman (Chuck) of Cedar Rapids, IA, LuAnn Entinger (Dennis) of Redwood Falls, Ida Boike (Randy) of Maple Grove, Kim Luhmann (Kevin) of Canton, GA and Doug Holtz (Jan) of Bonita Springs, FL; his sister-in-law Carol Moorhead of Howard Lake; and his aunts, Lela Walsh and Patty Johnson. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
