He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Holtz and Irene Holtz (McIntyre); and his siblings-in-law, Julie Holtz, Linda Moorhead, Brian Moorhead, Barry Moorhead and Peter Mazar.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Moorhead; his sons, Chris Holtz (Jake) of Maple Grove and Andy Holtz (Gina) of Robbinsdale; his grandchildren, Hannah and Alex Holtz; his siblings, Michele Herman (Chuck) of Cedar Rapids, IA, LuAnn Entinger (Dennis) of Redwood Falls, Ida Boike (Randy) of Maple Grove, Kim Luhmann (Kevin) of Canton, GA and Doug Holtz (Jan) of Bonita Springs, FL; his sister-in-law Carol Moorhead of Howard Lake; and his aunts, Lela Walsh and Patty Johnson. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A Mass was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Church of the Sacred Heart (4050 Hubbard Ave N, Minneapolis, MN 55422).
