He is survived by: his sisters, Eleanor, Margaret and Alice; his grandchildren, David, Jennifer Redd (Dawn), Shelby, Emma, Dylan Hayek (Mark), Jack Weigel (Melissa), Haley Rogers and Jenna Colosimo; his great grandchildren, Mario Jr., Henry (Jenna) and Lucy (Haley); his children, Debbie Ryan (Rick), Dawn Lorenzen (Mike), David Hayek, Melissa Weigel (Kevin), Mark Hayek (Lisa) and Steve Bloom (Jody); his sisters, Phyllis Elling (Ed) and Patricia Feltes (Len); and his caregiver Pete. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other family members.
