He was predeceased by: his parents, Obed Nelson and Emma Nelson (Dahlstrom); and his siblings, Rodney, Robert, Burton, Harley, Bernice "Bea" (Coffman) and Joyce (Neitzel).
He is survived by: his wife Janice (Richardson); his children, Julie Maryniak (Lyle) and Eric (Kirsten); and his grandchildren, Nick Maryniak, Zac Nelson and Karina Nelson. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, friends.
