He was predeceased by: his parents, Ellis Whitney and Clarice Whitney (Beckett); his siblings, Robert Whitney, Avis Harden, Lila Lillis, Margie Chapin, Karen Koplin and Myra Laws (Net); and his great grandchild Bentley.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Scheiding; his children, Angela (Navid), Samadani (Minneapolis), Daniel (Jennifer) and Amanda Whitney (Fergus Falls); his grandchildren, Alexis, Cecilia, Mira, Lane, Paloma, Nick and Saadya; his great grandchildren, Evan and Everett; and his sisters, Lora Lee Bauer (Mora), Ellen (Pat), Doll (Perham), Wilma (Bob) and Danson of Mission, TX. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, relatives, and friends.
