She was predeceased by: her parents, Gerhard Thompson and Rachel Thompson; her husband Bob Hanson; her daughter Rebecca Lynn Hanson; and her husband Gene G. Hickok of Camano Island.

She is survived by: her children, Scott Robert (Christina) of Minneapolis, Gary Robert (Carolyn) of Pacific City, Oregon and Barbara Riley (John) of Ellensburg, WA; her stepchildren, Steven Hickok (Linda) of Lake Oswego, Oregon and Jan Tanaka (Wayne) of Camano Island, WA; her stepgrandchildren, Kathryn Hickok, Lauren Canfield (Jeffrey), Ryan Tanaka and Kelly Tanaka; her brother Gerald Thompson of Edina, MN; and her siblings-in-law, Corinne Hanson of Bloomington, MN and Paul Hanson of Knoxville, TN. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
