He is survived by: his wife Ardelle Gottschalk; his children, Daniel Gottschalk, David Gottschalk, Julie Gottschalk and Alissa Pelarski; his grandchildren, Heidi Felton, Rachel Gottschalk, Katrina Gottschalk, Adam Gottschalk and Bethany Gottschalk; and his siblings, Gwen Kienholz, MaryGail Simpson and Mark Gottschalk.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, Richfield, are welcome in honor of John's legacy.
