He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Eckerman and Kathryn Eckerman; his siblings, Jerry Eckerman (Sue) and Kathleen Eckerman; his brother-in-law Brian Kinzey (Bobbi); and his parents-in-law, Bernard and Marion Kinzey.
He is survived by: his wife Denise Kinzey; his sons, Michael (Karen) and Stephen (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Ava, Finn, Liam, Declan, Fiona and Lochlan; his siblings, Doug (Lynette), Rob (Kelly), Dorinda (Bruce), Janice (Fred) and Julie (Doug); and his siblings-in-law, Gloria (Wayne), Dian (Jack) and Joe (Jackie).
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Helena Catholic Church (3204 E 43rd St, Minneapolis, MN 55406). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Assumption Cemetery (301 E 77th St, Richfield, MN 55423).
