He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Theising and Pearl Theising (Johnston); his daughter Tamantha Hammond; his brothers, Donald and Dothan "Doc"; his grandchildren, Anthony Fairchild and Shayla Hammond; and his pet Tiger Lou Theising.
He is survived by: his wife Susan Wenberg of Rice; his great grandchild Harley; his children, Mark Fairchild (Tessa) of Ridgeland, MS, Dena Theising-Foster (JJ Mullin) of Clifton, VA, Rebecca Estabrook (Todd) of Stuart, FL, Jennifer Schubel of Sauk Rapids and Nickel Theising (Rachel) of Plymouth; and his pets, Bitzi and Fritzi. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren.
