He was predeceased by: his parents, John Scheel and Lillian Scheel (Foss); and his siblings, LaVern Scheel, Gladys Anderson and Arlys Larson.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Cairns; his children, Sheryl Weitgenant (Clifford) of Rice, Karen Hovanes (Steve) of Sartell, Kevin Scheel (Ann) of Rice and Lori Slowinski (Tom) of New Auburn, WI; his grandchildren, Joel, Sarah, Kayla, Adam, Michael, Matthew, Anthony, Alex, Abbey, Sean and Shannon; and his sister-in-law Mary Denchfield. He is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
