He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Sorenson and Ruby Sorenson (Banks); his daughter Wendy; his great grandchild Luna Rose Lynch; and his siblings, Conrad Sorenson and Ardis Patterson.
He is survived by: his spouse Sharyn Gustafson; his children, Debbie, Bill Bean of Hibbing, Kathy, John Madigan of Red Wing, Scott, Lisa Sorenson of Gorham, ME, Kelly Thorne, Russ Rhone of Shakopee, Kerry Sorenson and Lindsay Lyons of New Prague; his grandchildren, Ashley, Mark Lykins of Duluth, Brittany, Andrew Merkouris of Richfield, Brian, Charity Peine of Red Wing, Joe, Erin Peine of Andover, KS, Arielle Sorenson, Lydia Proulx, Zachary Sorenson, Jonathon Gray, Leeanna Gray of Gorham, ME, Chelsea, Jamin Lynch of Selah, WA, Lacey Thorne, Chris Blanchard of Yakima, WA and Ava Lyons of New Prague; and his great grandchildren, Will, Wyatt, Ellie Lykins, Wendy, Aleck Merkouris, Gage, Tanner Peine, Justen Quinn, Ginaya Johnson, Maddison Russelle, Allison, Abigail, Alexa, Tyler Peine, Ella, Reese, Lincoln Lynch, Collin and Laylah Blanchard. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Vasa Lutheran Church, Red Wing Mayo Hospice, or donor's choice.
